Letizia of Spain once again conquered the eyes this Thursday, January 27, 2022. The wife of King Felipe VI presented herself more beautiful than ever to attend the presentation of the Luis Carandell parliamentary journalism prize in the Senate of Madrid.
The ceremony aims to highlight the importance of journalism in the country. Having herself exercised this function before entering the royal family, Letizia of Spain could not not make the trip. And it is wearing a magnificent flamboyant red dress worn close to the body that the mother of Leonor and Sofia presented the prizes for this twelfth edition. Queen of Spain and style, Letizia had opted for a creation by Carolina Herrera, which she had granted with a clutch and red pumps as well. Always as sublime as each of her appearances, Letizia would have almost stolen the spotlight from the winners.
The big winners were presented with the prize by the sublime queen, who was granted the new powers in 2014 after the abdication of King Juan Carlos I. The first award was given to Antonio del Rey Muñoz, journalist from the Spanish news agency EFE, the second was shared between three journalists, Joaquín Anastasio González, Loreto Gutiérrez Prats and Silvia Mascareño Díaz, reporters in the Canary Islands. If they were happy to see themselves honored in such a way by the beautiful Letizia, they were not entitled to meet her husband.
King Felipe VI was not even on Spanish soil but thousands of miles from his own. It was in Honduras, in the city of Tegucigalpa, that he was expected for the swearing in of the new president Xiomara Castro. The latter was elected after Juan Orlando Hernandez whom the King of Spain had taken the trouble to meet the day before before his official departure. During the event, he was also able to meet Kamala Harris, first vice-president of the United States of America after the election of Joe Biden as president.
