Emmanuel Macron should make a new “memorial gesture” on the occasion of the reception of associations of returnees from Algeria at the Elysée, Wednesday January 26. A week after the signing of the Evian Accords and the ceasefire, on March 19, 1962, in Algeria, civilian demonstrators in favor of French Algeria had tried to force the passage towards the district of Bab El-Oued, in the center of Algiers. The French army had opened fire, causing according to different sources, at least fifty dead, all civilians.
