Obviously, the artist will have to undergo treatment and struggle to cling to life in the coming months after announcing that he has been affected by lung cancer. Although he appeared on his Instagram account looking very good, Jenifer’s “friend” knows very well the fight that awaits him. Undoubtedly the main reason explaining the fact that he wanted to warn his fans as soon as possible.
“Hello, I have to make a somewhat special announcement. I will not be able to continue my 60th anniversary tour”he started before giving a little more details: “I have to cancel all of my concerts due to a health problem. Indeed, I have just been diagnosed with a tumor in my lungs, a cancerous tumor. Not very sympathetic. It cannot be operated on so I have to go into a six-month protocol of chemotherapy and X-rays. Which makes me sorry. But you all know that in life, the most important thing is health. When you have a problem, it becomes a priority. C is what explains the reason why I could not honor my commitments”. But before this serious illness, Florent Pagny already suffered from a disorder that handicapped him.
It was in the columns of Femme Actuelle that he revealed that he had memory problems, making him think of the onset of Alzheimer’s: “I’m starting to forget names. And on stage, I’ve had teleprompters for a long time to avoid memory lapses”he revealed before reassuring his community: “But in my case, it’s not because of Alzheimer’s! Living longer and longer is good, but we have to be careful with our way of life, our diet… Our cells regenerate with what we eat”. One more worry that is added to the life of the artist.
