(Toronto) The Toronto Raptors would have needed their biggest comeback in club history to win. They passed by two fingers.

Pascal Siakam scored 28 points and the Raptors came close to closing a 34-point deficit with a stellar second half in a 114-105 loss to the Portland Trail Blazers on Sunday.
Fred VanVleet scored 19 points followed by Gary Trent Jr. with 13 points for the Raptors (22-22). OG Anunoby and Chris Boucher each had 11 points for the Toronto squad.
Anfernee Simons scored 19 points, including two important three-pointers for the Trail Blazers (20-26). CJ McCollum and Nassir Little had 19 points for the visitors, who had to do without the presence of Damian Lillard and former Raptor Norm Powell.
The Raptors have returned to Scotiabank Arena after a five-game road trip. They went 2-3 on the trip, including a 109-105 win over the Washington Wizards on Friday.
The Trail Blazers started the game with a 25-4 lead in the first quarter. The 21-point gap widened to 34 points late in the second quarter.
The biggest comeback in Raptors history was 30 points in a 110-107 win over the Dallas Mavericks on Dec. 22, 2019.
