The West of France is well represented this year on the Prix de Cornulier podium! First place in this horse race was won on Sunday 23 January by a mare from Ornaise, Flamme du Goutier, trained by Thierry Duvaldestin. The mare was trained in Orne and was ridden by Antoine Wiels. Flamme du Goutier came second in the Prix de Cornulier last year.
In second place in the race, we find the Manchoise Granvillaise Bleue, trained by Pierre Levesque and ridden by his daughter, Camille Levesque. Finally, third place was won by another horse from the West of France, Etoile de Bruyère, originally from Mayenne.
The price of America in a week
As a taste of the Prix d’Amérique, which will take place on Sunday January 30, 15 trotters battled this Sunday at the Hippodrome de Vincennes to win the title of world champion in mounted trotting. The 2700 meter event imposed speed and endurance for the horses.
