Two leaders of theInstitute of Social, Economic and Political Sciences (Issep), the private institute founded and directed by Marion Maréchal in 2018 in Lyon, are targeted by a preliminary investigation for “moral harassment” after a complaint lodged by a student, AFP learned on Friday October 29 from the Lyon prosecutor’s office.
The young woman testified to the Lyon branch of BFMTV as well as in The Parisian. She accuses a local figure of the identity movement of rape and filed a complaint against him on September 24. The one she blames frequenting the same Lyon identity bar as students from Issep, the young woman warns the management of her school, specifies BFMTV.
A few weeks later, on the occasion of a “cohesion course” organized by Issep, “monitors” make “allusion in their words to sexual acts”, assures the student in her complaint cited by The Parisian. She believes that the instructors and members of the school administration “know”, observe “his reaction” and make him “relive traumatic events”. According to information from BFMTV and the Ile-de-France daily, the management then contacted the student’s mother, considering her as “paranoid”. “His words have a very negative impact on his classmates”, writes a school official, according to The Parisian.
The young woman therefore filed a complaint for “moral harassment” on Monday against the two school leaders because of their management of the case. The management of Issep contests “formally” the charges brought against him by the student. “If this person is who we believe to be, we can attest and prove that everything has been done to protect and help him, contrary to the allegations contained in the report.” published by the Lyon branch of BFMTV, adds the management.
