why there will be (almost) no strike on Thursday in the Dordogne

Will the children have school this Thursday, January 20? The answer is yes. For the vast majority, if of course there are no cases of coronavirus in the class. Several national education unions are calling for action a week after the massive and well-attended strike in the Dordogne on January 13. But locally, the Périgord branches of the main teachers’ unions do not call on teachers to mobilize.

Neither the SNUipp nor the SNES call for mobilization in the Dordogne

Thus at SNUipp and SNES, for the first and second degree, the unions reserve themselves for the interprofessional strike on Thursday 27 January. No mobilization either on the side of the CFDT Interco, which represents part of the extracurricular reception agents. But in Périgueux and Sarlat, the town halls do not plan any disruption for the daycare center or the canteen.

Disturbances in extracurricular activities in Bergerac

Only the town of Bergerac will be impacted. Four schools, Cyrano, Alba, André Malraux and Desmaison will not have a canteen, and no picnic lunch. Two schools will also not have daycare for part of the day. And locally, school by school, teachers can choose to join the strike movement, responding to the national call of the unions.
