She had left a letter describing the harassment of which she considered herself the victim. The Court of Cassation rejected, Wednesday, January 19, the appeal of the parents of Marion Fraisse, a 13-year-old schoolgirl who had committed suicide in 2013. The teenager had been discovered by her mother hanging from a scarf tied to the handle of her the door of his room, on a Wednesday in February, in the small town of Vaugrigneuse (Essonne).
At his side, a last bitter missive: “You have gone way too far in this story (…) My life has gone wrong and no one has understood it.” The teenager listed the words of her comrades who had hurt her to death, “slut, fake ass, bitch, bolosse, filthy whore”.
This decision of the high criminal court sets in stone the dismissal of the case in August 2018. And closes the criminal aspect of the case, except to be brought before the European Court of Human Rights.
His parents, assisted by David Père, had filed a complaint against X for intentional violence, death threats, incitement to suicide, manslaughter, failure to provide assistance, implicitly designating college students and the school establishment.
But in August 2018, an investigating judge from Evry dismissed the case, considering that these events, “isolated and concerning different persons not acting with the same intention”, could not characterize a situation of harassment. His decision was confirmed in March 2021 on appeal by the investigating chamber.
