The Las Vegas Raiders fired general manager Mike Mayock on Monday and will be looking for a head coach and general manager after only a second playoff appearance in 19 seasons.

The Raiders announced Mayock’s departure two days after losing 26-19 to the Cincinnati Bengals in the first round of the playoffs.
“We thank Mike for his contribution over the past three years. He helped set the foundation for our training going forward,” the team said in a statement.
Head coach Jon Gruden named Mayock to replace Reggie McKenzie after the 2018 season, but the Raiders have had mixed results in the draft and in the free agent market in recent years.
Gruden resigned from his post in October after several old offensive emails came to light. Owner Mark Davis potentially has free rein to choose his squad for next season.
Interim head coach Rich Bisaccia led the Raiders (10-8) to the playoffs with four wins to wrap up the regular season, but his status remains uncertain.
Bisaccia has met with Davis and the Raiders, but they must interview other candidates before choosing the next head coach, given the Rooney rule.
Mayock joined the Raiders after his long tenure as an NFL Network analyst. Although Gruden had the final say on personnel, Mayock had the title of general manager and handled the draft. The Raiders missed the mark on several first-round picks during his reign.
