It’s International Italian Food Day

For ten years, the International Day of Italian Cuisine has returned as every year on January 17. This International Day was created by chefs specializing in Italian gastronomy, outside of Italy. It aims to promote true and authentic Italian cuisine.

The choice of January 17 is no coincidence, because in Italy it is the first carnival day of the Catholic feast of Sant’Antonio Abate, the Patron Saint of animals. On this date, the Italians celebrate it by making good traditional dishes of the country.
