The health crisis of Covid-19 is again invited to the trial of the attacks of November 13. The hearing will not resume until at least January 25 after one of the defendants tested positive over the weekend. In a message addressed to the lawyers, on the morning of Monday January 17, the president of the special assize court of Paris, Jean-Louis Périès, writes that the result of the PCR test to which Ali El Haddad Asufi was subjected “tested positive” and “the coming week is totally compromised”. A new “useful test” cannot be done until next Friday.
The health situation had already disrupted the resumption of the trial. At the end of December, it was Salah Abdeslam, the main accused in the trial of the attacks, who had been tested positive at the Fleury-Mérogis remand center (Essonne). Lhe special assize court in Paris then decided to postpone the official resumption of the trial until Tuesday, January 11.
