The San Francisco 49ers showed off their skills by beating the Dallas Cowboys 23-17 on Sunday in a playoff showdown at AT&T Stadium.

The California team won by making sure they had the ball for as long as possible. The winners were in attack for eight minutes and eight seconds more than their rivals of the day.
The Niners’ ground game was also a key factor in this win. In total, 169 yards and two touchdowns were amassed via runs. Elijah Mitchell and Deebo Samuel were the ones to cross the goal line with the ball in hand. They respectively amassed 96 and 72 yards via carries.
The Cowboys, however, came close to a possession in the fourth quarter, courtesy of a very nasty interception thrown by Jimmy Garoppolo. Benefiting from an advantageous position, quarterback Dak Prescott scored a touchdown with his legs.
The 49ers defense got the job done, however, as the Texas team got the ball twice in the closing moments of the fourth quarter.
The Cowboys also shot themselves in the foot by mismanaging the dial in the final seconds of the game. The indiscipline also cost them dearly, as they received a total of 14 penalties for 89 yards.
The victory was not without consequences for “Niners”, since the excellent hunter of quarterbacks Nick Bosa was injured during the first half and did not return to the game thereafter. His training indicated that he suffered a head injury.
Next week, the San Francisco club will visit the Green Bay Packers. Aaron Rodgers’ team earned a bye to the first round of the playoffs after finishing the regular season at No. 1 in the National Conference standings.
