After the last surreal minutes against Mali, with the end of the match whistled three times, the Carthage Eagles must resume on Sunday January 16 in Limbé against Mauritania (5 p.m.). Wahbi Kahzri’s teammates failed to find the fault against the Malians. They lost 1-0 with a missed penalty from the Tunisian captain. A defeat that forced them to win against the Mauritanians, also defeated on the first day by Gambia (1-0).
In case of victory, Tunisia would return to this group F, otherwise, the qualification would be greatly compromised. Ditto for Mauritania which must win or draw to hope to see the final stages of this CAN 2022. Two teams which struggled to create chances and did not score in their first match. It will therefore be necessary to rectify the situation on both sides.
