Victoire Faces Suspension
After the release of a deepfake video depicting her using cocaine, Victoire is filled with dread. Aaron tries to alleviate her fears, assuring her that her colleagues know the truth about her character and will see the video for what it is. However, this incident strains her relationship with Soraya, as Victoire accuses her of succumbing to the blackmailer’s threats, thus enabling further harassment.
Determined to take action, Victoire heads to the police station to file a complaint regarding the deepfake. Martin informs her that the technician responsible for the fiber installation is not culpable for the hacking incident. Roxane pledges to investigate and validate the video’s authenticity, but warns Victoire that the process will take several days.
Meanwhile, at the Spoon, Violette chats with Jordan about their upcoming massage appointment at a luxury hotel, but Jordan is distracted by a nearby conversation between Fred and Victoire regarding the deepfake situation.
At the hospital, Victoire misreads Benny’s sniffle as a personal attack and confronts him aggressively. Benny assures her that he’s simply suffering from a cold and expresses his support during her difficult time. Marianne steps in to diffuse the situation and asks Victoire about the progress of the investigation into the deepfake, as the council is considering suspending her and will soon convene to make a decision.
Outside, Victoire reaches out to Martin for updates on the investigation. Noor overhears their conversation and rushes over to offer her support, expressing outrage that Victoire might face suspension. Victoire admits that perhaps she should have followed Soraya’s example and paid the ransom to avoid this turmoil, helping Noor understand her sister’s unusual behavior recently.
Back at the police station, Marianne contacts Aurore for updates on the deepfake analysis. Roxane remains optimistic about finding evidence to disprove the video. However, Marianne delivers the news to Victoire that the council has decided to suspend her while the police investigate to prevent a media frenzy. Victoire is taken aback, and despite the support from Samuel and Aaron, she feels utterly defeated.
In another part of town, Noor visits the law firm to persuade Soraya to file a complaint. Soraya explains that it’s too late since she has already paid the ransom, as she wants to maintain her relationship with Raphaëlle. Just then, Soraya receives a message, claiming it’s from a client, and she hurriedly pushes Noor out the door.
Alone, Soraya listens to the threatening message from the blackmailer, who demands €8,000 once more and warns that the deepfake will be released if she doesn’t comply within 48 hours…
Mona is Surprised by Joël’s Gift
At the Spoon, Mona confides in Mélody and Audrey that she caught Joël ordering a present for her. She is uncertain about what it is, but she hopes for a diamond ring.
During the day, a man named Joseph Renou approaches Bart, expressing interest in a job at the Spoon. He hands over his CV and explains that he is in urgent need of employment.
Later, Mona meets Joël, who surprises her with a scooter and a helmet to make her travels between his place and the Spoon more efficient. Mona appears thrilled, though she tries to play it cool.
François Reconnects with an Old Acquaintance
While out in the street, Mélody encounters a man who returns the keys she had dropped. He introduces himself as Martial and flirts openly with her. Mélody politely declines, mentioning that she is in a relationship, but he leaves his card with his number just in case.
Shortly after, Martial meets François at the Spoon, revealing that they are old friends. He shares his plans to settle in Sète permanently, and the two catch up on their lives. François talks about his breakup with Charlie, reconnecting with Soizic, and Adam’s recent split with an older woman. He advises Martial to tread lightly around sensitive topics during their upcoming dinner together.
Despite François’s warnings, Martial inadvertently creates an awkward moment as he teases Adam about his ‘MILF’. Adam, however, is quick with a witty comeback.
