Emotional Turmoil for Hugo
As dawn breaks, Commissioner Becker shares his satisfaction with Janet regarding Pablo’s arrest. He views Pablo not as a mere 16-year-old boy but as a criminal who caused his daughter harm. This perspective does not sit well with Janet, who attempts to explain that Becker’s comments are merely a way to punish Hugo for being dishonest with their daughter. The commissioner candidly reveals his longstanding disapproval of Hugo, asserting that he isn’t the right match for his daughter.
Meanwhile, at the police station, Hugo witnesses his son being escorted in handcuffs to the interrogation room. The medical examiner quickly reaches out to Florent, urging him to defend his son.
Yann is busy interrogating Pablo with Caroline present. When Caroline learns that Pablo has broken into Hugo’s house, she demands to understand his motivations. Frustrated, Pablo deflects blame onto his father and insults both Hugo and Caroline. Overwhelmed by her son’s behavior, Caroline breaks down, expressing, ‘It’s always like this with him. I don’t know how to handle it anymore. He’s become uncontrollable, and I’m exhausted‘.
At that moment, Florent enters the interrogation room to talk to Pablo privately. He informs the teenager that the police have substantial evidence against him and urges him to confess rather than deny the charges. However, Pablo is unwilling to accept help from someone associated with his father. Florent tries to convey that he is there to support him and minimize his troubles, emphasizing that Pablo faces the possibility of being sent to a juvenile facility for several years.
Meanwhile, Yann informs Commissioner Becker that DNA samples from both Pablo and Noa have been found at Hugo and Sabine’s residence. Becker pressures Yann to quickly extract confessions from both teenagers.
On another front, Elise questions Noa about the burglaries, but he steadfastly refuses to betray his best friend.
Later in the day, Yann meets with Hugo in his office to discuss the investigation’s developments. With the looming threat of prison for Pablo, Hugo expresses a desire to speak with him briefly, but Yann reminds him that it’s against the rules.
As Hugo heads home, he succumbs to tears. Sabine, having made the decision to return, immediately comforts him with a warm embrace.
Noura’s Struggles with Health
During breakfast, Stéphanie offers Noura a slice of bread with jam, which she declines. Noticing that Noura hasn’t eaten, she gives her some money to buy a chocolate croissant on her way. However, Noura opts for a different route.
Instead of purchasing food, she visits a pharmacy to buy medication. Afterward, at school, she heads to the bathroom and injects herself in the stomach. Soon after, Noura starts feeling feverish, prompting Charlotte to suggest a visit to the infirmary. However, Noura brushes it off, claiming it’s just a heat-related issue.
A few hours later, Noura is seen wandering the school hallways, visibly distressed and sweaty, before collapsing in front of her classmates. Noticing this, Sabine instructs Charlotte and Achille to take her to the infirmary immediately.
In the infirmary, Claire examines Noura. Despite having fainted twice that day, Noura insists it’s merely fatigue. Claire, however, observes that her blood pressure is unusually low and advises her to consult a doctor promptly. Noura agrees to discuss it with her mother.
At the end of the school day, Claire finds Sabine in the break room to discuss Noura’s condition. The nurse expresses her concern that Noura might be dealing with eating disorders, which could explain her frequent bathroom visits and constant fatigue. Sabine promises to keep a close watch on her daughter.
