ESV Leoben’s Mixed Fortunes in the Bundesliga

LEOBEN. The ESV Leoben bowling team faced a tough challenge in the sixth round of the Austrian Men’s Bundesliga, suffering a disappointing defeat against SKK Losdorf (Burgenland). Despite starting strong with a 76-pin advantage, the team ultimately lost the match 5:3. Fabian Schmid stood out as the top performer, scoring 575 pins.

The 14-year-old athlete celebrated a triumphant season finale by securing victories in all three events during the Schüler Austria Cup combination and jumping competition held at her home venue in Eisenerz.

In the fifth spring round of the Austrian Men’s Bundesliga East for sports bowling, ESV Leoben’s men’s team solidified its second-place position with a convincing 5:3 victory over SKK Steinberg (Burgenland). LEOBEN/TRENCIN. At the Slovak Open Muay Thai tournament in Trencin, athletes from eight different nations showcased their skills, including representatives from KSF Gym Leoben. Rebecca Hödl shined in the up to 54-kilogram weight class, winning gold after a series of impressive matches. Artem Khokhlov secured second place in the up to 75-kilogram category, while Elisabeth Hauzinger finished third in her weight class after an unfortunate injury during the semifinals. Coach Günter Plank expressed satisfaction with their performances and looks forward to the upcoming event in Budapest on March 9.

Medal Success for Beniva and Sportbündel Team

LEOBEN. Valentin Höber, Lea Jansenberger, and Patrick Krinner, three participants from the Beniva center ‘Living, Laughing, Learning’ in Leoben, achieved remarkable success at the Styrian club championships and Special Olympics ski championships in Schwabenbergarena, Turnau. Patrick Krinner earned a silver medal in the unified competition, while Valentin Höber took home gold. Lea Jansenberger also contributed to the medal haul. Anna Brandner once again proved her mettle, winning gold medals in both the individual special jumping and Nordic combination events on Saturday. On Sunday, she celebrated further success with another gold in the team event of the Nordic combination and a silver medal in the team special jumping event.
