Roborock Qrevo Plus Review: Affordable Compact Cleaning Solutions Unveiled

Roborock introduces the Qrevo Plus, a robot vacuum that balances affordability and performance, priced around 800 euros. It features an extendable mop for baseboard cleaning, a user-friendly app for mapping and customization, and robust suction power of 7,000 Pa. While it excels in wet cleaning and navigation, it lacks some advanced features found in higher-end models. Maintenance is simplified, and it is available in black or white from various retailers.

Introducing the Roborock Qrevo Plus

The Roborock Qrevo Plus enhances the renowned Qrevo lineup by joining the ranks of the highly regarded Qrevo Curv and Qrevo Master robot vacuum cleaners. What sets the Qrevo Plus apart is its remarkable balance between price and performance, delivering essential features without breaking the bank. One standout feature is its extendable mop, perfectly designed for cleaning along baseboards, ensuring a comprehensive clean.

If you seek an efficient and autonomous cleaning solution under the 1000 euro mark, the Qrevo Plus is an excellent choice. However, at nearly 800 euros, it is slightly pricier than its main competitor, the Dreame L10s Ultra Gen 2, which boasts similar, if slightly enhanced, features.

Product Overview

The Qrevo Plus showcases a design that adheres closely to the established Qrevo aesthetic, first introduced with the original Q Revo over a year ago. It comes equipped with a fully autonomous vertical station featuring two large water tanks easily accessible from the top. The 2.7-liter dust bag is conveniently housed behind a removable front panel, while the washing board is fully detachable, allowing for easy cleaning in a sink.

Compact and circular in design, the robot includes a LiDAR dome on top for navigation and an infrared sensor at the front for obstacle detection. It employs a rubber main brush paired with a non-extendable side brush, along with two rotating mop pads dedicated to wet cleaning—one of which can extend automatically for cleaning along baseboards.

While the build quality of the Qrevo Plus may not match that of the brand’s premium models, like the Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra, its affordability makes it an appealing option for many consumers.

User-Friendly App Features

Setting up the Qrevo Plus is a breeze, as it maps your home during initial configuration. Once the mapping is complete, you can easily modify room boundaries, establish no-go zones, and specify the type of flooring. You even have the option to place virtual furniture on the map and customize the cleaning order for each room, allowing for a tailored cleaning experience.

This robot can store up to four maps, making it ideal for homes with multiple levels or even a second residence. It intelligently recognizes and selects the appropriate map without any need for manual input.

With regard to cleaning settings, users can adjust suction power and water flow manually or let the SmartPlan feature optimize these settings automatically. Additionally, you can choose to clean the entire house or focus on specific rooms.

Customization options abound in the app, enabling you to schedule cleaning sessions according to your preferences, including the days and times that suit you best. You can also modify mop pad cleaning frequency, dustbin emptying, and drying time for the pads. Off-peak hours can be set to take advantage of lower energy rates. Furthermore, the robot’s behavior around carpets is adjustable, allowing you to raise the mops, avoid them entirely, or engage in deep suction for thicker carpets.

The Qrevo Plus works seamlessly with Google Assistant and Alexa, although it lacks an integrated voice assistant like the Qrevo Master.

Impressive Cleaning Performance

With a robust suction power of 7,000 Pa, the Qrevo Plus excels in vacuuming hard floors and thin carpets, effectively picking up dirt, dust, hair, and small particles. However, its competitor, the Dreame L10s Ultra Gen 2, provides a slight edge with a suction power of 10,000 Pa.

On carpets, the Qrevo Plus automatically amplifies its suction for deep cleaning, reaching dirt embedded deep within. However, for thicker carpets, a model like the Qrevo Master with a dual brush roller might be more suitable.

While the Qrevo Plus features an extendable mop, it lacks the advanced FlexiArm side brush found on the Qrevo Curv, which would enhance corner and edge cleaning. Nonetheless, this trade-off aligns with its more budget-friendly price point.

The robot performs admirably in wet cleaning, with its station washing the front mop pads before, during, and after each cleaning cycle. A small water tank keeps pads moist, preventing them from drying out mid-cleaning.

Water flow can be adjusted via the app, offering three preset modes or a manual option with 30 levels for precise control. After each cleaning session, the pads are automatically cleaned and dried, minimizing odors and bacterial growth.

Results for everyday stains are quite satisfactory, with the option to add detergent for enhanced cleaning of greasy or stubborn stains. Most marks disappear in a single pass, though particularly tough stains may require a second session.

Unfortunately, the Qrevo Plus does not feature automatic dirty area detection like the Qrevo Master, so it’s wise to set cleaning parameters accordingly for heavily soiled areas.

The two rotating pads are effective for daily cleaning, although I prefer the vibrating mop of the S8 MaxV Ultra for tackling dried and stubborn messes.

Due to its budget-friendly design, the Qrevo Plus does not support hot water mop cleaning, which may slightly reduce effectiveness on certain stains, but it remains a solid choice overall.

In terms of navigation, the Qrevo Plus employs LiDAR technology and infrared sensors for smooth maneuvering. The Reactive Tech system adeptly avoids common obstacles like shoes and toys, though it may struggle with smaller items like cables, which are better detected by camera-equipped robots.

Overall, the Qrevo Plus operates quietly, especially at lower power settings. The station may generate some noise during dustbin emptying and mop washing, but a Do Not Disturb mode allows you to turn off these tasks if needed, ensuring peace during nighttime hours.

Maintenance Made Easy

The Qrevo Plus functions autonomously as a vacuum mop robot, even as a mid-range model. Its generous water tanks allow it to clean areas exceeding 100 m², even with high water flow rates.

With the station taking care of cleaning and drying the mop pads, manual maintenance is kept to a minimum. However, it’s advisable to machine wash the pads once a month, as the plastic spikes on the washing board aren’t as effective as the dedicated brush found on the S8 MaxV Ultra.

Maintaining the washing board is straightforward since it’s fully removable for easy cleaning under running water.

The brush roller design minimizes hair tangles, simplifying robot maintenance. However, hair can accumulate around the side brush, necessitating regular cleaning to prevent blockages.

Pricing and Availability

The Roborock Qrevo Plus is available in black or white for approximately 800 euros at Fnac Darty, with Boulanger offering a slightly lower price of 770 euros.
