Xiaomi Expands Mid-Range Smartphone Lineup with Poco X7 and X7 Pro

Xiaomi is enhancing its mid-range smartphone portfolio with the introduction of its latest generation of Poco devices: the Poco X7 and X7 Pro. These models cater to users who demand top-notch performance and an elegant design without overspending.

Poco X7 Pro: Unleashing Accessible Power

The Poco X7 Pro marks a significant advancement as the first smartphone to utilize the Dimensity 8400-Ultra processor, crafted with a cutting-edge 4nm process. Users can choose between 8 or 12 GB of RAM and storage options of 256 or 512 GB.

Xiaomi boasts a 50% enhancement in AI capabilities compared to previous models. The Mali-G720 graphics chip is engineered to deliver a fluid and engaging gaming experience, especially when combined with WildBoost Optimization 3.0. This proprietary feature optimizes system processes and allocates resources dynamically, ensuring peak performance for gaming and multitasking.

Notably, this performance improvement is especially noticeable in demanding games like Genshin Impact, which can be played in AI super resolution at 1.5K.

The Poco X7 Pro features a stunning 6.67-inch AMOLED display with a 1.5K resolution and a 120 Hz refresh rate. It boasts a maximum brightness of 3200 nits for exceptional outdoor visibility. Furthermore, the device is IP68 certified, making it resistant to both water and dust, and it comes reinforced with Gorilla Glass 7i.

Equipped with two rear cameras and a front-facing camera, the X7 Pro can capture video in stunning 4K at 60 frames per second. It also includes a director mode and supports 10bit-LOG video recording for those looking to create professional-grade content.

On the battery front, the Poco X7 Pro houses an impressive 6000 mAh battery—the largest ever in a Xiaomi smartphone. This allows for an uninterrupted usage time of approximately 14 hours and 30 minutes. Additionally, the 90 Watts HyperCharge technology enables rapid charging, reaching a full charge in just 42 minutes.

Poco X7: A Perfect Blend of Performance and Affordability

The Poco X7 serves as a budget-friendly alternative, powered by the Dimensity 7300-Ultra SoC. It achieves an impressive score of 704,404 on AnTuTu, reflecting a 12% improvement over its predecessor.

This model also features a 6.67-inch curved AMOLED display, offering a 1.5K resolution and a 120 Hz refresh rate, with a theoretical brightness that can peak at 3000 nits. Protection comes from Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2.

While the camera setup mirrors that of the X7 Pro, the Poco X7 adds a third 2 MP macro lens for added versatility.

Its 5110 mAh battery is designed to provide ample longevity and supports 45 Watts fast charging for quick top-ups.

Smart Features and Software

The Poco X7 and X7 Pro operate on Xiaomi HyperOS 2, which is based on Android. These devices are packed with AI-driven functionalities for translation, note-taking, audio recording, and enhancing photos.

Xiaomi has also integrated AI features into its camera capabilities, ensuring users can capture stunning images with ease.
