In response to disappointing autumn performances, SC HERZ Pinkafeld is reinforcing its roster. New arrivals include active Bundesliga players Dario Tadic and Matic Marusko.
PINKAFELD. Following a challenging autumn season in the Burgenland league, SC HERZ Pinkafeld (SCP) recognizes the need for fresh energy in the upcoming matches. The team, led by coach Sascha Stocker, managed to secure two victories and two draws towards the end of the autumn championship, yet they find themselves in a precarious third-to-last position, teetering in the relegation zone. Thus, proactive moves in the transfer market have been a priority for the club.
As the new year begins, SCP welcomes center-back Peter Kandlhofer (born 2003) and midfielder Tobias Goldgruber (born 2000) from Sportklub Fürstenfeld. Additionally, versatile forward Noah Schiffner (born 2003) joins the Burgenland league team from SV Frohnleiten. Conversely, the club bids farewell to Julian Psihoda, Lukas-Stefan Weber, Jakob Waldherr, and Leon Lacic-Klaric.
Dario Tadic: A Special Return
Dario Tadic, a local talent from Pinkafeld, effectively became a ‘Christmas gift’ for the team. Marking his return to Pinka after a remarkable 21.5 years and various Bundesliga experiences, Tadic is currently the top scorer in the second Bundesliga. His comeback is a significant boost for SC Pinkafeld.
At 34 years old and with a history at SKN Sankt Pölten, Tadic brings a wealth of experience and a potent goal-scoring ability. With an impressive tally of 192 goals in 478 competitive appearances, he has proven himself as a consistent scorer. Notably, Tadic played a pivotal role in TSV Hartberg’s promotion to the Bundesliga during the 2019/20 season, netting 119 goals over 263 matches. His career also includes stints with Wiener Austria, SC Wiener Neustadt, and Austria Lustenau.
“SC HERZ Pinkafeld, represented by Mario Windhofer, made a tremendous effort to bring me back, and I felt convinced quite quickly. Growing up in Pinkafeld and learning the game here made my return to SC HERZ Pinkafeld the most logical choice. I eagerly anticipate this new challenge and hope to contribute my experience to the young team,” shared Dario Tadic, the club’s latest signing.
On the international stage, Tadic has made 14 appearances for the Austrian U21 national team, scoring once. Club chairman Mario Windhofer expressed enthusiasm, stating, “After bringing in Christoph Saurer and Patrick Bürger, we’re thrilled to welcome another exceptional role model and former professional. Dario will enhance our offensive capabilities and serve as a positive leader both on and off the field.”
Matic Marusko Joins from Slovenia

The 33-year-old can play both defensive midfield and center-back, boasting an impressive career with the Bundesliga club NS Mura, where he became a club legend.
“We are thrilled to bring another outstanding player to Pinkafeld. This reflects our ongoing commitment to building a strong team, enabling us to attract top talent. Matic will undoubtedly provide the team with the stability we need,” stated Mario Windhofer, Chairman for Sports and PR.
