Thibault Rosset’s Arrest by the Police
Following her heroic rescue of Romane from an attempted abduction by Thibault Rosset, Victoire feels a wave of relief knowing the young girl is safe. Eager to stay informed, she asks Georges for the latest on the investigation. Georges reassures her that Thibault’s arrest is imminent. In the meantime, Victoire finds comfort in Samuel’s company while Romane excitedly unwraps her Christmas presents.
Georges skillfully tracks Thibault Rosset’s vehicle using the GPS, which Victoire had noted the previous day, enabling the police to pinpoint his location. Karim and Michaël swiftly locate and apprehend him.
During the interrogation, Michaël confronts Thibault, who refutes the police’s allegations. He insists that he came to Sète to launch a business and mistakenly left his phone back in Paris. Thibault claims he was inspecting some land when Fred confronted him regarding an old debt owed to Lorena, and in a moment of panic, he accidentally knocked Fred down. Fearing the worst, he hid the body.
Despite Thibault’s account, Michaël remains skeptical. He reminds Thibault of their previous encounter when he caught him stealing a spy camera from the chocolate factory’s break room. Thibault, however, feigns ignorance about the incident.
Later, Timothée updates Michaël about reconstructing Thibault’s movements from the moment he left the warehouse to the cyber café he visited. Timothée suspects Thibault accessed the spy camera footage there. He manages to retrieve a recording from January 7, 2024, which shows Lorena at the time of Jade’s murder, confirming her innocence. Michaël acts quickly, informing his lawyer to facilitate Lorena’s release, then returns to Thibault to let him know he will be spending the night in a cell to reflect on his statements.
Georges promptly shares the news with Victoire. After their call, Victoire excitedly tells Romane that her mother will soon be freed from jail. The two share a moment of joy at Fred’s bedside, where Romane urges her uncle to wake up. Just as they prepare to leave, Fred stirs, showing signs of consciousness!
Meanwhile, Victoire and Romane head to the Christmas market to enjoy some festive cheer with Samuel.
Damien’s Distrust Towards Charles
At the Roussel home, Damien reveals to Audrey that he wished his mother had given him a heads-up about Charles’s Christmas return. He’s not particularly eager to see his brother again, convinced that Charles hasn’t changed. Contrarily, Audrey believes in granting everyone a second chance.
Over at the Julliard residence, Philippine informs Charles that she has engaged top lawyers to advocate for him and plans to help him find employment. Charles worries that his brother won’t be pleased with these developments, but Philippine reassures him that it’s not Damien’s concern. Grateful, Charles appreciates his mother’s support.
Later, Charles encounters Violette on the terrace and notices her avoidance. He expresses his remorse for the pain he’s caused and promises to never let her down again. Violette agrees to give him a final chance, setting clear boundaries for the future.
At the Spoon, Philippine sweet-talks Bart about his business while inquiring about his hiring process. Bart confidently states that he’s currently facing no challenges in that area.
Meanwhile, Damien decides to confront Charles. Despite Charles’s claims of wanting to reform, Damien is still wary. The conversation turns tense with barbs exchanged until Philippine returns to diffuse the situation.
Will François Regain His Voice in Time?
At the Spoon, Mélody shares her nerves about performing in public later with Audrey and Mona. Mona offers her some calming breathing techniques to ease her anxiety.
Meanwhile, Soizic encourages François, who is still struggling with his voice. She highlights the positive aspect: the choir will be performing a song he penned himself.
At the Christmas market, a crowd gathers to enjoy the choir’s performance. Supporting François, Soizic and Adam cheer him on. Miraculously, François finds his voice and joins in the singing. As snowflakes begin to fall, the audience erupts in applause.
