Celebrating Christmas in Lapland

Samuel (Iñaki Lartigue) and Jennifer (Diane Dassigny) are all set to embark on a magical Christmas adventure in Lapland. Excitement fills the air as Samuel prepares to fulfill a childhood dream. However, his joy is quickly dashed when he receives a notification that their flight has been canceled.

Determined to lift Samuel’s spirits, Jennifer brainstorms alternative vacation spots, but Samuel is in despair. The thought of celebrating Christmas anywhere other than Lapland is unbearable for him, especially since this will be his first Christmas away from his family.

After a brief absence, Jennifer reappears at the apartment wearing a playful Santa outfit. She brings along a delightful holiday feast, massage oil, and other festive treats to cheer up Samuel. Her efforts succeed, and soon enough, Samuel’s frown turns into a smile.

Ariane and Zoé’s Heartfelt Bond

In another corner of the Mistral, Zoé encounters Eric at the Pavilion of Flowers. She shares her excitement about Ariane’s newfound enthusiasm for Christmas celebrations. Eric is taken aback, revealing that Ariane has never expressed interest in celebrating December 25th before.

A short while later, Zoé confronts her mother at the police station, asking why she has always avoided Christmas. Ariane candidly explains, ‘Because I had no one to spend it with.’ She shares her reluctance to embrace the holiday due to painful memories associated with her parents.

The mother-daughter duo later enjoys hot chocolate at the Mistral, where Ariane invites Zoé to recount her past Christmas experiences. Zoé shares her childhood wish to be wrapped in her mother’s arms while listening to a comforting story.

Moved by her daughter’s heartfelt confession, Ariane seizes the moment to create an impromptu story, leaving Zoé with stars in her eyes. Zoé beams and tells her mother, ‘I love your story, mom; it reminds me of you.’

Thomas’s Family Aspirations

In a poignant moment, Emma reveals to Baptiste that she has suffered a miscarriage, interpreting it as a signal that their relationship might be at a standstill. Baptiste, however, is not ready to give up and is determined to show Emma that she is his one true love.

Meanwhile, at the Mistral, Thomas (Laurent Kérusoré) is relieved to hear that Romy is recovering well. During this conversation, Kilian seizes the opportunity to ask Thomas a pressing question: ‘How much do I mean to you?’

Taken aback, Thomas responds, ‘You are the little brother I always dreamed of having.’ Kilian opens up about feeling neglected since Baptiste’s return, prompting Thomas to apologize and embrace him warmly.

Baptiste shares his ambitious business plan for a bar in Australia with Thomas and Kilian. While both brothers are intrigued by the idea, their opinions diverge on certain aspects. Baptiste then requests a favor from his father and uncle.

In a romantic gesture, Baptiste surprises Emma by blindfolding her and leading her to the Mistral square. When she unveils her eyes, she is greeted by ‘Le petit Marci,’ a replica of the bar he hopes to open in Australia.

Thomas, Kilian, and Mathis warmly welcome the couple and serve them drinks along with traditional Marseille dishes. Emma’s eyes light up as she exclaims, ‘I think I like it. I can picture myself unwinding in a place like this after work.’

Later that evening, Thomas meets Gabriel at the Mistral medical office, where he shares the joyful news of Baptiste and Emma’s reconciliation. He then drops an unexpected bombshell: ‘Do you think 50 is too old? I would like us to adopt a child.’
