Good Fortune for Bahram

At the Pavillon des Fleurs, Bahram, the Iranian neurologist, is seen teaching a biology lesson to Zoé. The young student is thrilled to have a personal tutor as she prepares for her baccalaureate exams.

Meanwhile, Ariane seeks Eric’s advice on the legality of hiring an undocumented worker. Eric clarifies that it’s not entirely legal but offers a helpful suggestion: pay the association, and he’ll handle the paperwork for Bahram.

Following her chat with Eric, Ariane shares the exciting news with Zoé that she will now receive three hours of tutoring each week from Bahram. Both the teenager and Bahram are delighted, with the latter finally feeling a sense of purpose. Shortly afterward, he celebrates this new arrangement with Eric.

Is Emma Seeing Someone Else?

At the Mistral, a family lunch unfolds with Baptiste, Emma, Mathis, Gabriel, and Thomas (Laurent Kérusoré). As they prepare to leave for a hike, Emma suddenly announces she has sprained her ankle, preventing her from joining the outing. Thomas offers to stay back with her.

Later, Thomas becomes engrossed in the selfies sent by his son while Kilian attempts to get his brother’s attention with ideas for their bar-restaurant. Unfortunately, Thomas is too preoccupied to listen. Is Kilian feeling a twinge of jealousy over Thomas’s joyful demeanor?

Meanwhile, Emma seizes the opportunity of being alone in the apartment to make a phone call. She excitedly tells someone, ‘I’m finally in Marseille. We can finally meet up,’ but abruptly hangs up when she hears the front door open.

Thomas enters the living room and spots Emma making tea. Curious about how she managed with crutches, he queries her, and she responds, ‘I still have some leftovers from Thai boxing.’ Thomas appears skeptical of her explanation.

In the meantime, Gabriel and Baptiste take some time outdoors to unwind and have a heart-to-heart. Gabriel tries to address the tense dynamics with Emma, saying, ‘She’s really thriving at her job; you shouldn’t hold her back.’ However, Baptiste is not receptive to the conversation and reacts angrily.

Ophélie’s Heartbreak

Ophélie Kepler is reeling after uncovering the truth about her birth. Her mother, Vanessa (Agathe de la Boulaye), continues to dispute Anthony’s revelations, insisting to Ophélie, ‘My darling, you are my daughter.’

Later, at the police station, Boher (Stéphane Henon) summons Vanessa and Ulysse (Jeremy Charvet) to probe their connection to Myriam Toussaint, the deceased childcare worker whom Vanessa had bribed.

Vanessa explains that she had asked Apolline (Zoé Laïb) to investigate Myriam to resolve an old case related to her late husband. Ulysse is taken aback to discover that his mother acted without his knowledge by involving her intern.

Meanwhile, Ophélie confides in Aya about her shocking discovery. Aya suggests that Ophélie should compare her blood tests with her mother’s to confirm her lineage.

Back at the law office, Ulysse presses Apolline for details about the services she provided to Vanessa. Although she initially resists betraying Vanessa, Ulysse insists, ‘Serious matters concerning my family are at stake.’ He reminds her of his loyalty and requests a significant favor.

Ultimately, Apolline agrees to share her knowledge about Myriam Toussaint with Ulysse. Shortly thereafter, Ulysse confronts Vanessa in her office, demanding, ‘Why did you pay 200,000 euros to this woman?’

Vanessa continues to deny any wrongdoing, stating, ‘I don’t know what you think, but you are mistaken.’ Frustrated, Ulysse yells, ‘You took another woman’s baby with Myriam Toussaint’s help and now you’re making Ophélie believe she’s your daughter!’

In the end, Vanessa reluctantly reveals the truth to Ulysse: ‘We must not tell Ophélie; she wouldn’t be able to handle it.’ Ulysse, confused, asks, ‘Who is this Colombine?’ and Vanessa breaks down in tears.

Ophélie, for her part, delivers the devastating news to Aya: ‘My mother has type O+, my father did too, and I am AB. O+ parents cannot have AB children. I am not their daughter.’ The realization dawns on her that her mother has deceived her for years.

She tells Aya, ‘How could she? It’s inhuman to lie like that! I have another family out there, and Ulysse isn’t even my real brother. My entire life has been a lie!’
