Zack’s Dark Secrets Unveiled
As the investigation unfolds, Martin seeks to comfort Raphaëlle, who is grappling with despair over her father’s fate. She fears that if Prado has taken his own life, there may be no hope left. Agnès chimes in, insisting that her ex-husband would never resort to such an act.
Meanwhile, Zack grows anxious when Camille doesn’t respond to his previous message requesting an update on her status. Frustrated, he begins to record a voice message expressing his irritation at her silence but ultimately decides against sending it.
Zack then rides his scooter to the derelict location where Prado and Sébastien are being held. In a shocking turn of events, he pulls out a gun and fires at Prado before turning his weapon on Sébastien. Later, Zack steps outside to wash the blood from his hands, ignoring Camille’s incoming call but listening to her voicemail where she apologizes for her absence and clarifies that she hasn’t reconciled with Simon.
At the police station, a witness comes forward regarding Prado’s whereabouts. He tells Karim and Nordine that he spotted Prado around 8 PM, just before heading to the airport, looking anxious and consuming pills from a pharmacy bag. This crucial information prompts Karim to alert all units to search the area with abandoned industrial buildings.
Karim updates Martin, who decides to swap shifts with a colleague at home and join the search. Although Raphaëlle insists on accompanying him, Martin declines. However, she makes her way to the scene, donning a bulletproof vest provided by her partner.
Upon arrival, the police team begins their search and eventually uncovers Zack’s hideout. Martin is horrified to find a body concealed under a tarp—it’s Sébastien. As Raphaëlle rushes to his side, she discovers that he is still alive despite his injuries, prompting Martin to urgently call for medical assistance.
Victoire’s Efforts to Cheer Up Aaron
At the villa, Victoire is busy preparing a delightful breakfast for Aaron on the terrace, adorned with a Christmas tree they decorated the previous day. Aaron expresses his gratitude for her support, acknowledging that he hasn’t been the easiest person to be around since his split with Lisa.
As he checks his mail, Aaron discovers he has won a lottery for a luxurious trip for two to Martinique. In a moment of clumsiness, he accidentally drops his cup, but it miraculously doesn’t shatter. Victoire seizes this as a sign that it’s his lucky day.
To further lift his spirits, Victoire invites Samuel over and hands out several scratch cards to the boys, convinced that Aaron will be the only winner. However, to their surprise, none of them win anything. The trio then decides to head to the festive Christmas market together.
Benny’s Insightful Diagnosis
At the hospital, Chloé encounters Mona, who voices her frustration about the delayed test results for Joël. As Benny discreetly observes from a distance, Chloé pretends to need Mona’s assistance with Spoon.
With the coast clear, Benny approaches Joël for an examination. He discovers that Joël has been taking appetite suppressants to avoid gaining weight from the meals prepared by his partner. Joël insists he only took the pills once, on the day of his recent health scare!
Later, Benny and Chloé inform Joël that his reaction was not due to nuts but rather an ingredient derived from chili found in the appetite suppressants. Benny recalls a similar issue his cousin experienced. Chloé is impressed by his deduction, just as Mona enters the room, and Joël reassures her regarding his health.
That evening, Mona and Joël share dinner at Spoon, where he is now cautious about his diet to steer clear of appetite suppressants. Benny and Chloé arrive, and Mona invites them to join, expressing her gratitude for their role in saving Joël’s life, especially commending Benny for his keen diagnosis.
