Simon Schemes Against Zack’s Relationship with Camille
With police protection in place, Raphaëlle finds it hard to catch a wink of sleep. Martin tries to comfort her, holding onto hope that her father is still alive, although Raphaëlle struggles to share his optimism. She insists that she needs to be informed of any updates as soon as possible.
At the police headquarters, Roxane updates Karim about the discovery of anxiolytics on Prado’s shirt sleeves. The police present two theories: either Prado used the medication to incapacitate Sébastien before abducting him, or it was taken prior to a potential suicide, which could explain his current invisibility. Given that Prado purchased two boxes of these drugs shortly after the prosecutor’s kidnapping, the latter theory appears more plausible.
Meanwhile, Zack confronts Simon at the Spoon, urging him to back off from Camille. Simon fires back, claiming Camille was the one who invited him over the previous night, stating that she misses him. The air thickens with tension until Zack decides to leave in frustration.
Later, Camille receives a voicemail from Zack accusing her of hiding her reunion with her ex. She confides in Maud about her growing intolerance for Zack’s jealousy and Simon’s motives, ultimately deciding to cut ties with both men, as her mind is preoccupied with her grandfather’s situation.
On her end, Raphaëlle, feeling trapped at home, makes the decision to step out for a meeting with Simon at the office. After some initial hesitation, Martin consents to her outing, provided a police colleague accompanies her.
At the office, Simon reveals that he has thoroughly reviewed his client’s file in search of clues but has come up empty. He expresses regret for not recognizing the danger Prado posed. Before leaving, Simon assures Raphaëlle that he has taken steps to ensure Zack stays away from Camille.
At the police station, Timothée informs Karim that security footage confirms Prado visited the pharmacy to buy anxiolytics. Subsequently, he vanishes from the surveillance record towards Pascal Street. Karim calls Agnès to inquire if the street’s name means anything to her, learning that it is where their notary’s office is situated.
That evening, Karim visits Martin to inform him that Prado had a 7 PM appointment with the notary on the day of the kidnapping, an appointment he never kept. The notary has had no further contact since then. Karim reveals that Prado intended to alter his will to designate his ex-wife as the sole heir. This detail seems to bolster Roxane’s theory that Prado may have kidnapped or even killed the prosecutor before taking his own life.
However, contrary to the police’s assumptions, Sébastien is actually being held captive… alongside Prado!
Joël Faces a Medical Emergency
At the Spoon, Mona experiments with a new dessert, a pecan carrot cake, and invites Joël to taste it. He enjoys it, but suddenly starts coughing and struggles to breathe.
At the hospital, Noor assesses Joël and suspects his reaction stems from a nut allergy, although she is waiting for test results to confirm this the following day.
Afterward, Noor updates Chloé and Benny on Joël’s situation. Since Chloé is otherwise engaged, Benny is assigned to handle the case alone. Noor cautions him about Mona’s high expectations.
Initially confident in his abilities, Benny quickly realizes that Mona’s demands are overwhelming. She commandeers the laundry room to change the sheets and expresses dissatisfaction about various issues in her partner’s room.
At the end of his shift, Benny shares his frustrations with Chloé, admitting his growing annoyance with Mona. Just then, he sees her preparing to settle in Joël’s room for the night.
Victoire’s Efforts to Cheer Up Aaron
In the hospital break room, Victoire finds Aaron struggling with the coffee machine after burning his finger. Sensing his irritation stems from something deeper, she attempts to lighten his mood. Aaron confesses that he’s finding it hard to cope with his breakup with Lisa. As Victoire returns to her duties, Samuel walks in and catches Aaron in tears.
Later, Samuel shares his concern for Aaron with Victoire, which inspires her to take action to uplift his spirits. By day’s end, she brings Aaron along to pick out a Christmas tree for the villa’s terrace.
When Samuel drops by to see what they’re up to, Aaron happily lets him take over the decoration of the tree alongside Victoire.
