Vitality.Bee Secures First Title Since 2022 at Banque Postale Coupe de France!

Vitality showcased their dominance in the Banque Postale Coupe de France, securing victory with an impressive performance through the tournament. Despite a challenging start against Solary, Vitality quickly regained control, ultimately overpowering them and winning in just 24 minutes. The following matches further highlighted Vitality’s strength, culminating in a one-sided victory to claim the trophy. This victory marked a significant achievement after a strong second half of the season, positioning Vitality as a formidable force in competitive play.

Vitality Dominates the Tournament

As expected, Vitality emerged as the top contender. While Solary displayed a strong performance, particularly with Stend and his teammates, it was evident that Vitality maintained a superior level of skill throughout the matches. Solary faced challenges, especially against BDSA, who were not playing at full strength due to multiple role changes.

The opening match of this best-of-five series highlighted this trend. Although Vitality struggled at the outset, Solary started strong, capitalizing on some effective dives in the top lane. The team initially built a lead of up to 3,000 gold within the first fifteen minutes. However, as the laning phase concluded, Solary lost their advantage. Vitality.Bee executed their strategies more effectively, crafting numerous comeback chances. With the help of the herald, Vitality’s momentum became overwhelming, resulting in Solary players getting caught one by one. Led by Daglas’s Vi, the team quickly dismantled Solary’s nexus in just 24 minutes.

In the second match, Solary was again aggressive early on. Vitality responded well, with only Czajek’s Smolder facing difficulties. The transition from early to mid-game devolved into chaos, as both teams engaged in relentless skirmishes. Vitality faltered in their macro strategy, and when Daglas ganked bot against an overextended Kryze, Solary seized the moment to secure the Nashor baron. From that point on, Solary consistently pressed the advantage, achieving a decisive equalizer.

The following games were predominantly in Vitality’s favor. While Solary had moments of brilliance, they often overextended and paid the price against a more disciplined Vitality. Daglas shone brightly on his birthday, demonstrating exceptional skills on his Viego in game three and his Xin Zhao in game four. In both games, Vitality showcased their strength, ultimately clinching the Banque Postale Coupe de France title!

Throughout the competition, Vitality exhibited dominance, losing only one nexus in four best-of-five series. This victory is a fitting reward for a team filled with talent, with rumors suggesting some players may transition to the LEC next season.

Season-End Triumph

Securing the title at the Banque Postale Coupe de France capped off an impressive second half of the 2024 season.

Despite a mixed Spring Split performance, where Vitality.Bee aimed for a title:

  • 4th in the regular season with a record of 10-8.
  • 4th in the playoffs after a 0-3 defeat against Gentle Mates.

After mid-season, Vitality made a significant change by swapping Selfmade for Daglas (who succeeded Lyncas). This switch catalyzed a resurgence, leading to the following results:

  • 3rd in the regular season with an 11-7 record.
  • 3rd in the playoffs following a 1-3 loss to BDSA.
  • 2nd in the EMEA Masters Summer, once again falling 1-3 to BDSA.

Even though Vitality.Bee didn’t secure a title, the team demonstrated substantial growth in the latter half of the season. Their improvement, both collectively and individually, was particularly evident during the EMEA Masters, where Vitality.Bee performed admirably. They should hold their heads high despite ultimately losing to a formidable BDSA team.

The triumph at the Banque Postale Coupe de France is well-deserved, even if some teams might not have played at full capacity. Regardless, Vitality.Bee undoubtedly proved themselves as the tournament’s top team, and this title is undeniable.

This marks Vitality’s first trophy since their Coupe de France victory in 2022!
