In the reality show “Diese Büchners – Familientrubel unter Palmen,” Danni Büchner, a mother of five, navigates her hectic life following the loss of her two husbands. As she contemplates reopening a bar she once ran with her late husband, her children express concerns about her well-being and the toll of her busy schedule. The siblings grapple with their fears of losing their mother, reflecting on the profound impact of their past losses.
Danni Büchner, 46, opens up about her life as a mother of five on her reality show, ‘Diese Büchners – Familientrubel unter Palmen’. She shares, ‘I have been married twice, and the father of my older three children, along with my other two, has passed away. The responsibility of raising them falls solely on my shoulders.’
As Danni navigates the challenges of motherhood, she splits her time between Germany and her cherished Mallorca for various television projects. Her recent appearance in this year’s jungle camp has spurred her excitement for new opportunities, but her children express their concerns.
Danni’s Children Express Concerns About Her Restaurant Plans
Prior to her trip to Africa for ‘Showdown of the Jungle Legends’, Danni had dreams of re-entering the restaurant business. She and her late husband, Jens Büchner, successfully operated the ‘Faneteria’ bar in Cala Millor until his passing from cancer in November 2018. Now, looking to establish a new venture with a restaurateur friend, her eldest children immediately raise alarms.
‘You’re often away from home, and we remember how challenging it was with the ‘Faneteria’, where you had to work for six to eight hours,’ Jada, 19, warns. Volkan, 22, shares his worries, stating, ‘It can be exhausting for you after long shoots. You come home wanting to rest but end up working in the bar for hours. You can’t keep this pace for weeks on end.’
Danni Overwhelmed by Her Children’s Fears
Jada is particularly anxious about her mother’s well-being: ‘I’m worried that something could happen to you. You might be away for three weeks, then come back exhausted only to immediately have to work again. I fear you might reach a breaking point.’ Her fears are rooted in the family’s history of loss, making Jada’s concerns deeply poignant.
When confronted with her children’s anxiety, Danni becomes emotional. With tears in her eyes, she admits, ‘It’s heartbreaking to see the fear in my children, especially the older ones. Their greatest worry is losing me, just as we’ve already lost so much in our family. It truly terrifies them to think about another loss.’
A Daughter’s Perspective on Loss and Love
Jada, who lost her first father, Yilmaz Karabas, to heart failure in 2009, reflects on the important role Jens played in her life. ‘Jens completed our family. He was the father I needed, and he will always hold that place in my heart,’ she shares in the docu-soap.
While Jada was just four when she lost Yilmaz, her younger siblings, Jenna and Diego, now 8, have grown up without their dad, Jens, since they were toddlers. This absence has forged an unbreakable bond between the siblings and their devoted mother.
