The return of the Clarks Wallabee

Could this be the return of Clarks Wallabee? These shoes, which were most often worn by our fathers and grandfathers, are recently making a strong comeback in the fashion world. The crepe sole made the brand world famous, founded in 1825, in Somerset in Great Britain, when two brothers, Cyrus and James Clark, made a slipper from sheepskins. Very comfortable, the shoes from the Clarks brand have spanned the ages with chic by multiplying the colors, prints and materials since they are available in suede and leather.

The Wallabee, created in the 1960s, is the most legendary model, worn in particular by the Jamaican Rude Boys, by David Bowie, by Iggy Pop, and later by the character of Walter White in the series breaking Bad and more recently by Drake. We find the Wallabee shoe, whose design is unique, unisex and timeless, in a high ankle boot version, with or without a buckle, and in a shoe version. We like its relaxed look and the many colors offered. They are simply charming and inimitable!

Mona Fine Jewelry, a great discovery

Véronique Garneau is passionate about jewelry. She founded Mona Fine Joaillerie in 2021, and she offers very simple necklaces, bracelets and earrings, in white, yellow or pink gold, silver, with precious stones and diamonds. “Each piece is handmade here in my workshop using real gold and ethically sourced gemstones,” she says. The jeweler can also make tailor-made creations, at the request of customers. “I see that people are very creative, they want to wear jewelry that suits them, so we work together and design a unique piece. We can also give a second life to an old piece of jewelry, change it, modernize it. It’s happening more and more. » Even if there is a craze for jewelry, Véronique Garneau emphasizes that there is education to be done in the field. “You have to understand the value of the stones, and the price, which differs. A solid gold ring will last a lifetime, which is not the case with a gold-plated ring. It’s not the same thing, you have to be careful and be well informed,” she explains.

The burgundy red color is everywhere

If there is one color that we see everywhere this fall, for both men and women, it is the color burgundy red, or burgundy. It’s the trend of the season! This rich color, which we like to wear in autumn and winter, comes in several shades, notably in lighter wine red or going towards eggplant. Whether in a sweater, coat, skirt, pants, jacket, and even for bags and accessories, burgundy red is everywhere. It can be worn with white, black, leather, it’s simple, we adopt it!
