A man was found lifeless in a river in Sept-Îles, in the Côte-Nord region. The identity of the victim is still unknown.
It was a passer-by who discovered the body, in a stream located next to a bridge, near boulevards Laure and des Montagnais. The witness joined the Sûreté du Québec (SQ) around 5:15 p.m. on Sunday.
The police then discovered the man’s body, which they pulled from the water. They pronounced him dead on the spot. “Procedures and expertise will be necessary to identify the victim,” explains Béatrice Drainville, spokesperson for the Sûreté du Québec.
Investigators were still on scene Sunday evening around 9 p.m.
