Seine-et-Marne is particularly affected by rising water levels due to the Kirk depression which crosses France.

Since Wednesday October 9, the Kirk depression has swept across a large part of mainland France. Precipitation reached its usual level for a whole month in 24 hours in many departments. On Thursday, the storm is gradually moving away from France, but Seine-et-Marne is still placed on red alert for floods. In several towns, some residents had to be evacuated, because the water is likely to continue to rise sharply.

The evacuation of residents is being done slowly. In the street, at least a meter of water. Firefighters check on some residents remotely. Like many residents, they could not sleep all night and gradually monitored the rising waters. A distressing situation.
