Budget 2025: “There will be a 49.3”, anticipates Sylvain Maillard, Renaissance deputy for Paris

Sylvain Maillard, Renaissance deputy for Paris, is the political guest of franceinfo, Thursday October 10.

The 2025 draft budget was unveiled by the government on Thursday October 10, including 19 billion euros in tax increases. “Michel Barnier has an extremely complicated task”affirms Sylvain Maillard, Renaissance deputy from Paris, political guest of franceinfo, Thursday October 10. He and the group Ensemble pour la République spoke out against tax increases. “We must not undermine the growth and attractiveness of France (…) we do not want an increase in corporate taxes”says the deputy.

According to Sylvain Maillard, “large companies will never have a drop in profitability. They will organize themselves to recover from their employees, from the employees of subcontractors and from the prices of subcontractors”. Will the MP vote for the budget despite the tax increases? “There will be no vote at the end, there will be a 49.3. At 250 deputies we did not have a majority, you can imagine that at 215 we will not have more”concludes Sylvain Maillard.
