The election of Aurélie Trouvé, LFI MP, to the presidency of the Economic Affairs Committee of the Assembly on Wednesday, revealed the disagreements between the LR elected officials and the presidential party. Ensemble MP Thomas Cazenave discusses this disagreement in France 2’s “4V”, Thursday October 10.
A tense atmosphere reigns at the Palais Bourbon. On Wednesday October 9, Aurélie Trouvé, elected from La France insoumise, took the helm of the Economic Affairs Commission of the National Assembly. “We can call it a betrayal” from the Republicans, adds Thomas Cazenave. However, the elected official from the presidential camp does not wish to put an end to the collaboration between the right, in charge of the executive, and the presidential party: “We are doing everything to make this last”he said. “We don’t want the country to be blocked, we want to help this government”specifies Thomas Cazenave, who does not want “not that the difficulties in the Assembly reflect on the work of Michel Barnier”.
