On the occasion of Michel Blanc’s funeral in the presence of his loved ones in Saint-Eustache (Paris), Jean-Pierre Améris, director of “Marie-Line and her judge”, the actor’s last theatrical appearance, evokes the memory of a “great artist”, in “La matinale” on Thursday October 10.

Before his death, Thursday October 3, the late Michel Blanc returned to theaters a year ago in Marie-Line and her judge. The director of the film, Jean-Pierre Améris, agreed to speak in Franceinfo’s “La matinale” on Thursday October 10. He is not surprised by the request from his widow, Ramatoulaye Diop, who wants a joyful ceremony this Thursday afternoon in Saint-Eustache: “I think he would have wanted that. […] but it’s not going to be easy.”comments the filmmaker.

Jean-Pierre Améris says to himself “thrilled” tributes paid to the Splendid actor: “The tributes were incredible, he was a great actor, an excellent director, a very good dialogue writer”he recalls. “He had a lot to express”adds Jean-Pierre Améris about the acting range of Michel Blanc, first known for his comedic roles before proving himself in drama. “When we make people laugh, it’s often because we haven’t found our place in childhood or adolescence […] it was full of cracks”adds Jean-Pierre Améris.
