Only a few weeks left before you can watch The Stickythe new Prime Video series inspired by the Quebec story of the “maple syrup theft of the century”. Starring Margo Martindale and Guillaume Cyr, all six episodes will be online on December 6.
Based on the true story dating from 2012 of a theft of more than $18 million in maple syrup from Quebec reserves, The Sticky tells the journey of Ruth Landry (Margo Martindale), a maple syrup farmer teaming up with a Boston mafioso (Chris Dimantopoulos) and a Quebec security agent (Guillaume Cyr) to commit the crime. Deceived by the bureaucratic authorities who threaten to take away everything she loves, Ruth will become the main protagonist of a story between drama and humor, between strong emotions and the clash of cultures.
Actress Jamie Lee Curtis, in addition to producing the series, makes a brief appearance. The six episodes will be broadcast in more than 240 countries and territories on Amazon’s Prime Video platform.
