The Parisian club Paris FC, current leader of Ligue 2 football, will change ownership and be bought by the Arnault family (LVMH) and the Austrian energy drink brand Red Bull, the management of the sports radio France and France Bleu Paris from several sources close to the matter, confirming information from the newspaper The Team.
The Arnault family, via a holding company, will take around 55% of the club’s shares. By 2027, this holding company will take over an additional 30% belonging to current president Pierre Ferracci, to reach 85%.
For its part, Red Bull, the Austrian energy drink brand which already owns the clubs of Leipzig (Germany), Salzburg (Austria) and New York (United States), will also take shares in the club, in the surrounding area. by 15%, confirms a second source.
The new owners hope “eventually evolve at the Jean Bouin stadium”, in place of the Charléty stadium. The officialization will take place on October 17. The president of the PFC since 2012, businessman Pierre Ferracci (72), majority shareholder, had already expressed his wish to hand over the reins.
