Seine-et-Marne on red alert for floods, 32 departments on orange alert for “rain-flood”, “wind” or “floods”

The Kirk depression intensifies and moves towards Ile-de-France. Météo-France placed Seine-et-Marne on red alert for flooding on the Grand Morin downstream on Wednesday October 9. In addition, 32 departments are placed on orange vigilance for “rain-flood”, “wind” or “floods”, compared to 35 during the previous Meteo-France bulletin, after the Loire-Atlantique, Maine were placed on yellow vigilance. -et-Loire and Deux Sèvres.

In detail, Ain, Doubs, Isère, Jura, Loire, Pyrénées-Atlantiques, Hautes-Pyrénées, Rhône, Haute-Saône and Saône-et-Loire are on alert for risk of violent winds. Alerts for “rain-flood” concern Aisne, Alpes-Maritimes, Ardennes, Aube, Eure-et-Loir, Indre-et-Loire, Loir-et-Cher, Loiret , Marne, Mayenne, Meuse, Oise, Sarthe, Paris, Seine-et-Marne, Vendée, Yvelines, Essonne, Hauts-de-Seine, Seine-Saint-Denis, Val-de-Marne and Val-d’Oise.

Finally, certain departments are also on alert for the risk of flooding: the Alpes-Maritimes, Meurthe-et-Moselle and Vendée. “The rains associated with the Kirk depression affect the entire northern half of the country”describes Météo-France in its bulletin.
