Éconologis | Eligible income thresholds significantly increased

The Éconologis program is now accessible to more owners and tenants, the eligible income thresholds having been increased by several tens of thousands of dollars.

People eligible for Éconologis can benefit from personalized advice and light work allowing them to reduce heat loss during the winter, such as caulking windows, installing weather stripping or insulating electrical outlets.

If people pay their home’s electricity bill themselves, replacing old thermostats with electronic thermostats may also be covered.

To have access to Éconologis, the pre-tax income of the inhabitants of a home must not exceed the following thresholds:

  • $59,076 for an occupant
  • $83,541 for two occupants
  • $102,318 for three occupants
  • $118,148 for four occupants
  • $132,094 for five occupants
  • $144,705 for six or more occupants

These occupants can be adults or children.

Éconologis is a program of the Ministry of the Environment and the Fight against Climate Change.

Space heating represents on average more than half of household electricity bills, according to Hydro-Québec.
