Drug war in eastern Quebec | Bikers evicted from Frampton hideout

Criminal bikers affiliated with the Hells Angels have just been expelled by police from their hideout in Frampton, in Beauce, where a teenager died last month during an attack.

A judge has issued a restraining order, along with an eviction notice for the occupants, regarding a property and five buildings used by outlaw motorcyclists on 2e rank in the small town. The order follows observations made by the police, who consider the place to be “a proceeds of crime”.

The place serves as a meeting place for the Hells Angels of the Quebec section and their Red Devils school club.

On the night of September 15 to 16, a 14-year-old teenager from Montreal died there. The police consider that he gravitated around a street gang in Saint-Léonard and that he was part of a group that tried to attack the premises. The Hells Angels are currently at war with gangs and independent traffickers in eastern Quebec over control of the drug market.

This was not the first time that the location had been targeted by attack as part of this conflict.

On October 4, a search was carried out at the Frampton premises as part of an investigation into the possession of illegal firearms. Ammunition and weapons were seized as part of this investigation.

In interview with The Press Last month, the mayor of Frampton, Jean Audet, stressed that the population was monitoring the situation closely, in this usually quiet locality.

“Until now, these are people we didn’t hear about. Safety [du Québec] takes care of it, she does her job well. But if it continues like this, people will not like it, they will not be happy and they will perhaps ask for interventions that are other than those we are currently seeing,” he said.

The blocking order is a first step. “At the end of the legal proceedings, these assets could be confiscated by the court,” specifies the Sûreté du Québec. Tuesday’s intervention was carried out by two groups of specialized police officers, the National Squad for the Repression of Organized Crime and the Integrated Team to Combat Arms Trafficking.
