Drummondville | Seventy-year-old cyclist in critical condition after collision

(Drummondville) A septuagenarian cyclist is in critical condition after being hit by a bus in Drummondville, in Centre-du-Québec, Friday afternoon.


The impact would have occurred when the bus, which was traveling westbound on rue Raphaël-Nolet, wanted to turn onto boulevard Lemire heading south, indicates Camille Savoie, spokesperson for the Sûreté du Québec (SQ) .

It was around 3:45 p.m. that the MRC Drummond police officers were notified of the collision between the man and the bus.

The septuagenarian was taken to hospital. The authorities fear for his life. The bus driver suffered no injuries.

A police officer trained in collision investigation will travel to the scene to try to clarify the circumstances surrounding the event, reports Mme Savoy.
