(Boucherville) A man on a gyroroue succumbed to his injuries Thursday afternoon after colliding with a car in Boucherville, in Montérégie, in the morning.
The victim, a man in his forties, found himself in a difficult position under the vehicle, explains Mélanie Mercille, spokesperson for the Longueuil agglomeration police service (SPAL).
The man was taken to hospital, where he was confirmed dead a few hours later.
The driver of the car, a woman in her fifties, was treated for nervous shock, says SPAL.
The SPAL specifies that it launched an intervention around 7:10 a.m. at the intersection of Boulevard de Mortagne and Rue Ampère following the accident.
Traffic, blocked for a few hours, has been restored.
A gyrowheel is a one-wheeled vehicle equipped with side supports for the feet. It advances according to the inclination of the driver’s body.
