Cleveland Browns | Defensive end Alex Wright’s season is over

(Berea) Cleveland Browns defensive end Alex Wright will miss the remainder of the season with a triceps injury suffered in Week 2 of the schedule.

Wright made the announcement on his social media Thursday that he will have to undergo surgery. The team then confirmed the information before their training.

The 24-year-old football player said he was first injured during a joint workout with the Minnesota Vikings in August. He underwent a magnetic resonance imaging test after the second week of the season, while he was still experiencing pain.

This test revealed a partial tear requiring surgery.

The loss of Wright, a 2022 third-round pick, is a big blow to the Browns defensive line, whose depth at that position is thin.
