The Japanese Coast Guard said it detected “the launch at 2:55 p.m. by North Korea of what appears to be one or more ballistic missiles.”

A coast guard spokesman told AFP they were still analyzing the place where he fell and determining whether it was a single object or several.

Despite international sanctions for its banned weapons programs. Pyongyang has already fired two missiles, presented as hypersonic, since the beginning of the year. A first on January 5 and a second on January 11.

North Korea’s foreign ministry spokesman then accused the United States of having “intentionally aggravated” the situation.

If “the United States adopts such a confrontational attitude, the DPRK (Democratic People’s Republic of Korea) will be forced to react in a stronger and more certain way,” the spokesman said, according to the official KCNA news agency. .
