The Prime Minister mentioned his first priority: restoring the accounts, but Michel Barnier has a second: ecology, which did not prevent him from announcing setbacks in this area.
Michel Barnier has put an angry issue back on the table: the artificialization of soils. By 2031, France must halve construction on natural spaces, but the Prime Minister suggests relaxing the rules, good news for the mayor of a small town near Melun. Thirty-eight housing units are under construction and there is not enough space to expand its village hall and build schools. Scientists, for their part, see this as a setback and highlight the risks linked to climate change. Second file, the energy diagnosis: on January 1, G-rated housing will no longer be able to be rented without thermal renovation, but the Prime Minister could adapt the timetable, enough to worry professionals in the midst of an ecological transition.
Another issue, wind power, Michel Barnier maintains the vagueness and asks to measure the impacts of the parks. The Prime Minister is still sending a positive signal to environmentalists with the plan to increase taxes on plane tickets and the most polluting vehicles.
