With the wail of sirens tearing through the night, 200 Iranian missiles fall on Israel. At the same time, in Tel Aviv, six people were killed in an automatic weapons attack. For two weeks, the war seems to be accelerating, pushing the Middle East to the edge of the precipice. That afternoon, September 17, the operation surprised even the most discerning experts in the Arab world. Hundreds of pagers belonging to Hezbollah members explode. There are deaths and Lebanese hospitals are crumbling under the wounded. All eyes then turn to Israel, but the Jewish state neither confirms nor denies its involvement. Psychosis sets in. All faiths combined, panic grips the Lebanese.
The speech by Hassan Nasrallah, secretary general of Hezbollah, is particularly awaited. During his speech, the sound barrier was passed by two Israeli fighter planes over Beirut. On September 23, the capital, the south and the east of the country were shelled. The IDF ensures that it limits its strikes to military targets. The Jewish state is currently communicating about its strikes which killed Hassan Nasrallah.
