Public and private higher education establishments of general interest have never welcomed so many disabled students. According to the ministry, there were more than 59,000 at the start of the 2022 school year, or seven times more than at the start of the 2000s. A considerable advance which is not necessarily synonymous with good integration. At the University of Jussieu, in Paris, Antoine, in a wheelchair, recently recounted in video his fight for suitable premises and course layout.

Franceinfo wishes to give a voice to students with disabilities (motor, deafness, blindness, autistic disorder, etc.) who have just started higher education or who are further along in their studies. Are your classrooms difficult to access? Are you having trouble getting a scheduled exam? Do you feel that you are little listened to by teachers and the administration? Would you like to create more connections with classmates? It’s about evoking all the feelings, positive and negative, the state of mind you’ve been in since the beginning of the year.

If you are concerned and wish to do so, you can answer our questions in the form below. Your responses will be consulted in the coming days by our journalists. They will remain confidential and no publication concerning you will take place without your consent. Anonymity is also possible. The testimonials that catch our attention will eventually lead to direct contact.
