PlayStation and PlayStation Store hit by global outage

Affected by an outage, the online services of Sony’s PlayStation consoles are not functioning normally on Tuesday morning, the Japanese group announced.

“At this time, the PlayStation Network, including the PlayStation Store [la plateforme de ventes de jeux en ligne]may not be available,” the PlayStation Japan technical support account said.

Around 11 a.m. (5 a.m. in Quebec), the PlayStation website indicated that “certain services are experiencing difficulties”, notably player account management and online games.

“We are doing our best to resolve these problems as quickly as possible,” assured Sony, without giving details on the origin of this failure.

Playstation’s online services allow owners of Sony consoles, such as the PS4 and PS5, to play games like Fortnite Or Call of Duty.
