Two people lost their lives after a road accident that occurred Sunday morning in Candiac, in Montérégie.
The head-on collision took place around 4 a.m. on Highway 30 at kilometer 56, heading west. The circumstances surrounding this event are still unknown, according to the Sûreté du Québec.
A driver aged around 40 died at the scene and a driver in his twenties died of serious injuries in hospital, according to the SQ.
The scene was secured and a collision investigator was dispatched to the scene. The investigation continues.
The section of the highway where the accident occurred was reopened to traffic after being blocked early in the morning.
