Shortly after Benjamin Netanyahu’s uncompromising speech to the UN, Israel heavily hit a residential neighborhood in Beirut (Lebanon) on Friday September 27. The target of this attack was Hassan Nasrallah, the leader of Hezbollah.

In the sky over the southern suburbs of Beirut (Lebanon), immense plumes of reddish smoke could be seen for kilometers on Friday September 27. Israeli planes hit a Shiite neighborhood. In less than three minutes, six buildings were completely blown away. “A rain of bombs hit this place,” testifies a civilian who films the still smoking rubble, panicking.

Hezbollah’s television channel filmed the intervention of the emergency services and the army, who, during the night from Thursday to Friday, tried to find survivors using flashlights. According to the Jewish state, Hassan Nasrallah, the elusive leader of the Shiite militia, was hiding in these buildings. An Iranian news agency says the Hezbollah leader is safe and is in a safe place. On X, the Lebanese embassy denounces a bloody massacre and promises a response. Southern Lebanon was also bombed on the morning of Friday 27 and again in the evening while Hezbollah announced the sending of strikes on northern Israel.
