Win to stay in the leadership chair. For the second match of the sixth day of Ligue 1, Paris Saint-Germain welcomes Stade Rennais to the Parc des Princes, Friday September 27. At the top of the championship (tied on points with Marseille and Monaco but with a better goal difference), the reigning French champion wants to rediscover the taste of victory, a week after his draw in Reims, which put an end to a perfect start to the season from a statistical point of view. If successful, Luis Enrique’s men would be almost guaranteed to retain the lead (barring a very large victory for one of their two rivals).

Opposite, the Bretons are still waiting to definitively launch their season. Eighth in the standings before this day, they remain in a draw conceded in the last minutes against Lens (1-1). Lately, trips to Paris have been rather successful for Rennes, who have not lost in the championship on the Parc lawn since February 2022.
