A white march in support of Gisèle Pelicot will take place next Saturday October 5 in Mazan, in Vaucluse, France Bleu Vaucluse reported on Friday. This white march is organized from 2:30 p.m., at the initiative of a group of women victims of violence and the Vaucluse association Isofaculté, specializing in personal reconstruction through the mediation of horses.

“Touched by the suffering of Gisèle Pelicot, which resonates with their own journey, these women, accompanied by a solid associative and institutional network in Vaucluse, will lead the procession, offering everyone the opportunity to express their solidarity and empathy towards all the victims“, write the organizers in a press release on Friday. The procession will follow the historic route of the Càrri festival, “a traditional Mazanese event dedicated to solidarity”. A reading of poems and testimonies from participants are planned.

Last Saturday, September 14, rallies brought together 10,000 people across France to support Gisèle Pelicot and all victims of sexual violence and so that “shame changes sides”. The Mazan rape trial brings Dominique Pelicot to justice. He is accused of having drugged his ex-wife, Gisèle Pelicot, to rape her and have her raped by other men. He has been on trial with 50 defendants since September 2 before the Vaucluse assizes. The trial runs until December 20.
