Under a storm, Pope Francis landed in Brussels (Belgium) on the evening of Thursday, September 26, after a stopover of a few hours in Luxembourg. The 87-year-old pontiff was smiling and facetious. “I have seen the decline in the birth rate. Please have more children, this is the future”he said. Pope Francis, who must stay in Belgium until Sunday September 29, also denounced the reappearance of fractures and enmities in Europe.
Estonia is ready to receive foreign prisoners. In the capital Tallinn, life is peaceful and the prisons are empty. The country offers to rent cells to states suffering from prison overcrowding. Between 500 and 1,000 places would be available. Estonia hopes to generate 30 million euros in revenue each year. The former British Conservative government had expressed interest in this proposal.
